25 Years of CJP!
This month, the Collaborative Justice Program held a celebration at the Beckta wine bar to commemorate 25 years of the program's existence. The celebration gathered members of the CJP community to socialize over food and beverages. The event featured a speech from Rev. Dr. Anthony Bailey, who shared with guests his uplifting experience in CJP's restorative justice process. CJP's caseworkers delivered a heartwarming speech that shared the program's most notable highlights and success stories.
An award was created in honor of Louise Dupont, a Crown Attorney and CJP Board member whose exceptional efforts have immeasurably strengthened the program. At the celebration, the Louise Dupont Award for Exceptional Contribution was presented to Jane Griffiths, a long-time CJP Board member, for her exceptional contribution to restorative justice and peacemaking. The event concluded with a toast to all those who have contributed for CJP's success over 25 amazing years.
As we celebrate this milestone, we thank all those who have been part of this journey, including participants, volunteers, staff, and supporters. We look forward to continuing our mission of creating a more compassionate society for years to come.
